My final story for EPJ is a character profile on a pig. A pig? Yes a pig. I plan to follow it from the MU Animal Sciences farm to the MU Meat Market freezer.
My sources are Dr. Lorenzen, Dr. Wegan, and others in the Animal Sciences division. I've also made contacts with several students and the plant manager.
Access to certain stops along the process could be difficult to obtain, and video is not allowed. These are the only real "roadblocks" that I can forsee. I think that, otherwise, this could be a great multimedia piece. There's plenty of interesting audio, certainly visual potential, and showing the real process of making chorizo or porkchops etc. is fairly near and dear to my heart. And stomach.
